Kluane National Park

Travel 150 km from Whitehorse to Haines Junction, the gateway to St. Elias mountain range with the highest peaks in Canada. En route stop at the Overland Trail Crossing, the Takhini Burn, Canyon Creek and scenic view points.

Visit the Da Kų Cultural Centre and the Parks Canada interpretive centre. See the topographical model of the park and visit the interpretative displays.

After a snack break, hike with your guide to the base of the Rock Glacier. This trail is an easy walk, less than 2 km round trip, taking 30 minutes to an hour to climb about 90 metres or 300 feet. At the top is a panoramic view of Dezadeash Lake.

A quick drive back to Kathleen Lake where you will share a picnic lunch on the shore. And then some time to walk the trail along the shore of the lake before heading back to Whitehorse.
