- A tour of the City of Whitehorse www.visitwhitehorse.com/ featuring historic buildings from the gold rush era and the building blitz of the Alaska Highway. The tour will include a visit to the Yukon Artists at Work artists co-operative.

- A three/four hour trip to the scenic village of Carcross – Caribou Crossing on the shore of Bennett Lake, the headwaters of the Yukon River. In this historic community there is evidence of its Gold Rush roots, the impact of mining developments and the future promise of the local First Nations. Includes a visit to the desert, the sand dunes adjacent to the community and a camp-stove snack break overlooking the lake. (Spence lived in Carcross for a couple of years and maintains it is the most picturesque community in the Yukon. She always tries to do this tour, though Tom enjoys it too!)
